This policy explains what personal information Elite Grounds & Exteriors (“we”, “us”) collects, why we collect it and what we do with it. We follow the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
Elite Grounds & Exteriors is a pressure washing and exterior cleaning business based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about it at elitecleaningni@hotmail.com or on 07762 451501.
When you visit this website
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or embedded social media, and it doesn't have a form that sends information to us. You can browse it without giving us any personal information.
Our website is hosted by Netlify. Like most hosting providers, Netlify automatically records technical information when pages are requested, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request, to keep the site secure and working. We don't use this information to identify you.
When you ask us for a quote or get in touch
When you contact us by WhatsApp, email or phone, or use the quote form (which opens WhatsApp or your email app with a message written for you to send), we receive the information you choose to send. This usually includes:
- your name and contact details (phone number or email address)
- your address, town or postcode, so we know where the job is
- photos of the area you'd like cleaned, and details about the job
Messages sent by WhatsApp are also handled by WhatsApp (Meta), and emails by your email provider and ours, under their own privacy policies.
How we use your information
- to reply to your enquiry and give you a quote
- to arrange, carry out and follow up on the work you book
- to send invoices and keep business and accounting records
Our legal basis is that we need the information to take steps at your request before entering into a contract with you, and to carry out that contract. We keep financial records because the law requires us to. We won't send you marketing messages.
We may share photos of the finished work (not of people) on our website and social media. We'll only use photos of your property with your permission, and we won't include your name or address.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your information or share it for marketing. It's only shared with the services we use to run the business (such as our phone, email and messaging providers), or where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that don't lead to a job only as long as needed to deal with them. If we do work for you, we keep the related records for as long as we're legally required to, for example for tax purposes.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop or limit how we use it. To make a request, email elitecleaningni@hotmail.com. We'll reply within one month.
Google reviews
If you leave us a review on Google, it's published by Google under your Google account and handled under Google's privacy policy.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. See also our terms and conditions.
